Just to let you know that craft club finishes on the 2nd of December 2013 after a very productive term of crafting.

We have made holly wreaths from card and felt, glass and silk painted xmas scenes, made decorations for the tree and decorated glass jars. The year six children are in the process of making their rag dolls and we are very impressed with the fantastic progress they have made this term.

On the last day of craft club you will be able to buy all the xmas goodies they have made and please do come in the hall from 4.30 onwards.

We would like to wish you all a very happy christmas and new year and look forward to seeing you in 2014.

We ended the year with a presentation of awards. This was a lovely event which we enjoyed very much.

It was good to welcome new parents who were able to view everything their children had made, over the few weeks they had joined us from the Infant School.

The children had made some fantastic things, from Rag Dolls to purses, butterflies, mosaics, silk painted cards, iris folded cards and felt scottie dogs to mention a few.

Enjoy your summer holiday and we look forward to seeing some of you next year.

4th April 2013

Our last Craft Club session held on Monday the 25th of March, before our Easter break, saw the children decorating rabbit masks. They had a great deal of fun with paper, glittery bits and pieces, pipe cleaners, stickers and lots of glue! They used their imagination and skill to good effect. The judges were amazed at the results and the overall winner was Kasey Casteller.

We will be inviting the year 2 children to join us in May. Sadly there will be only 15 spaces available as help is in short supply. We would welcome anyone who could spare an hour on a Monday to join us. No experience necessary!

We resume our craft sessions on Monday the 15th of April.

20th March 2013

We have been working very hard making scottie dogs, purses, rag dolls, finger puppets. mosaic mats and more fun things for our exhibition in July. On Monday the 25th of February we held a very successful learning how to knit afternoon. A very huge thank you to everyone who attended and helped the children to start knitting. We will be holding another session devoted to knitting in the future.

We will be having a fun competition with an Easter theme this coming Monday where the children can show us just how wonderfully creative they can be.

I would like to thank all my helpers very much for giving up their time to come and help the children be creative.

Have a lovely restful Easter and lets hope the weather will be kind to us.

We start again on the 15th of April.

A new term has started and we are already into February! We have made great strides with our rag dolls and the scottie dog has proved to be very popular. We are hoping to make many things that are fun and useful. After Easter the theme will be an under water one!

On Monday the 25th of February we are having a display of some knitted items together with wools and accessories. This hopefully will give the children an insight what can be achieved through knitting and inspire them to take up the craft. We welcome anyone who would like to come and join us from 3-30pm onwards in the Junior School hall.
